| Welcome | |
| This is our FIRST consumer
newsletter. We send monthly newsletters to our licensed beauty
professional members... and until recently the consumer population has
been a small segment of our web visitor population. As of December
20th consumers on our www.BeautyWeb.com
site have topped 4,500 and are requesting samples and information so we
are giving them their own newsletter.
From time to time we make our snail mailing addresses (if you have registered for us to do so) available to Beauty Companies that want to send out samples. If you do not want to get the samples, but do want to receive our newsletter... register and do not fill out your mailing address...that's all there is to it. We will attempt to answer some of the many questions consumers ask us in this newsletter. If you have a question, please feel free to email us with it at info@beautyweb.com . |

| Beauty Q & A | |
| Q -
I would like a shampoo that can temporarily color my hair to a red or light brown color. I would like something that can wash out easily after a few shampoos and will not damage my already highlighted, dark brown hair. could you recommend something to me? A - You can not take a dark hair color and make it light "temporarily". To remove a darker color you must use a bleach or lightening agent. This is a permanent action. You can add highlights to the highlighted sections of your hair with color shampoos. ARTEC and L'Oreal have shampoos and conditioners that help colored hair stay that color and give temporary highlights. Stop by your local salon to purchase professional products that are superior to those often found in your local drug store. Q - Are there any blow dryers that are battery-operated? A - There are new hair tools on the market that use butane to heat up... but I have not seen a blow dryer that is battery operated. Blow dryers use a lot of energy to dry your hair and a battery would not last more than one blow dry... if that... Q - Is it possible to have nails applied that are 3 to 6 inches past the tips of the fingers or even longer? I realize this sounds very extreme but I am more than willing to make sacrifices for this. I have long fingers and rather long nail beds, so hopefully I can support very long nails. Thank you for your help! A - I have know a few people that have worn extremely long nails. But they started short and grew them. They would go to a salon and have artificial product applied to protect their nails as they grew and repair a broken one... but that is how they did it. I do not recommend nails of the length you mention because of the risk of permanent nail damage you may experience if you bang a nail of that length. It normally will cause the nail plate to detach from your nail bed. If you grow the nails.... you at least have time to get use to the extreme length if you are set on having this long of a nail.
