The RI Department of Corrections is seeking letters of interest from prospective vendors to manage a hair-cutting program. The program involves seven correctional facilities/hair cutting shops – all in the same complex, and the training and supervision of up to 20 inmate apprentices at any given time. There are set hours of operation covering a six-day work-week, and the vendor must provide for absence back-up. This is a three-year (3) contract, with an option to renew for an additional two (2) years. Vendor will be selected on the basis of both credentials and price.

The official request for Letters of Interest can be found on the Rhode Island State Office of Purchases website at: www.purchasing.state.ri.us. The solicitation number is 11609.
CosmoGirl Magazine
Beauty Web has been mentioned in the March issue of CosmoGirl Magazine Page 92. The article is about becoming a make-up artist.

      Recently, WAMA has been expanding.  "Chapters" are now being formed
across U.S., Canada, and U.K.  I am proud to be the Chicago branch manager.  
As an artist in Chicago, I fight the struggles of seeking out education and
experience in the industry just as much as the next ambitious individual.  It
is a common "buzz" complaint amongst industry professionals in the area.  
Having the opportunity to be the head manager for Chicago has forced upon me
man new and exciting networking opportunities.  As we all know in this

Here is what I have been up to lately....
Still working with WGBH (PBS) TV out of Boston on a documentary they are doing on Body Art.  The premise of the story is "why do we decorate" ourselves.  They want the story from the consume
rs side.  It has been very interesting to see exactly why the customers take advantage of the salons hair and nail services.
