Make - Up Artists... | |
| This
is for all you CosmoGirl Readers out there that want to know more
about becoming a make-up artist...
If you can not go to school... there are some ways you can break into the business. Read all the books about make-up you can get your hands on. Knowing face shapes, bone structure and skin tones all are important to successful makeup application. Volunteer at a local modeling school or at the high school drama class to apply the models or actors makeup. Some towns have local theater groups you can get involved in. Build your portfolio. Take pictures before and after of your clients. Pass out business cards promoting your services for weddings, proms or special occasions. Show up at your local TV station... after you have something to show them... Dress sharp... look sharp and be persistent. "Persistence beats resistance" Terri Taricco
