- Step - Light Elegance |
Description and Recommended Uses:
Use of the 1-Step product should be limited to experience gel nail technicians. The 1-Step is a crystal clear material that produces a rigid, durable nail with a high shine. It does not require a primer of Bonder to adhere to the natural nail. The nail technician should be aware that free-edge lifting could occur on some clients as a result of the difference in flexibility between the nail and the 1-Step. If this is observed, try using the Reconstructor, Fiber or Builder.
Recommended uses of 1-Step are:
· Fills and full sets
Application:
Cleanse, then file and prep the natural nail and existing product, making sure to remove all of the shine. Cleanse the nail again. Apply a BB size amount of 1-Step to the base of the existing product. Push desired amount of product towards the area that you are filling, making sure not to touch the cuticle area or the sidewalls. If this happens, remove product from these areas prior to curing process. Pull the remaining product out to the end of the nail in a thin smooth layer. When satisfied with the way the nails look, place hand in the light and cure. When curing process is complete, cleanse the nails to remove the remaining sticky residue. The nails should look glossy and beautiful, and the nail is complete. You can now file and shape the nail to further perfect the appearance of the nail if you feel that it is necessary. After filing and shaping apply the Finisher and cure in the light. After curing, cleanse, and your nails should be glossy and beautiful.
Hints & Trouble Shooting:
1-Step will lift from the free-edge if the nail is not roughed-up properly. Use a 100 to 180 grit file to prepare the nail sufficiently for the 1-Step. Not removing the pterigyum from the nail plate, not sufficiently removing the shine from the nail plate, or touching the cuticle or sidewall with the product causes lifting of the 1-Step near the cuticle. Experienced nail technicians in gels should try this product, however, the nail technician should understand that it was formulated for competition use and should be applied very thinly on the nail. 1-Step is not a product that will work on every client.
Storage:
Avoid exposure to all UV light sources (including but not limited to sunlight, UV light from curing lamps and "full spectrum lamps" such as Ott lights), inert gases and flame.
