 Hair Color Fading is an ongoing problem with all hair color, especially the red family.  Although different color lines promote their colors as fade resistant...it is a difficult task to achieve. Some color loss of intensity is inevitable.

Here are some tips you can use to get the most life out of your hair color service

Wash your hair with a shampoo that has been recommended by your hairstylist as color safe.  Many shampoos in an effort to clean your hair help remove the color molecules from your hair. Good for clean hair bad for color.

Wash and rinse your hair in tepid to cool water.  This helps seal your hair shaft keeping the color molecules trapped.

Use color enhancing shampoos and conditioners.  These are wonderful products that keep your color looking fresh in between color services.  ARTec Products puts out a great line of color shampoos that do not interfere with your ongoing color services.  They have a good selection of reds (my favorite) as well as blonds and brunettes.

Wear a hat or sunblock on your hair when in the sun and try to keep your hair OUT of the pool if you are a swimmer.

You know...the little white flakes that people make jokes about.  Well for those people that have dandruff... it is no joking matter.  It can be a pain in the neck.  There are professional hair care treatments available at your local salon that can help you with this treatable condition.
